Invext sells its stake in Fiora to The Engineered Stone Group

13 September 2021

Invext Corporation, the Royo family's family office, is one of the two key shareholders in the bathroom furniture multinational Royo Group, alongside Roca Corporation. Invext has now sold its stake in Fiora, a company specialising in shower trays and based in La Rioja. The operation follows the agreement reached between the US fund HIG Capital and the Royo family to bring Roca Group into Royo in March of this year.

Invext has thus divested its stake in Fiora, which had since been owned solely by Invext Corporation and HIG Capital. The Valencian family’s exit from Fiora marks the end of the successful partnership between Invext and the US fund, which dates back five years. From the start of that partnership in 2016 until now, the alliance between Invext and HIG has led to an increase in the Royo Group’s turnover of more than 100%, rising from 60 million euros to 120 million in the 2020 financial year.

Invext, however, maintains its significant stake in Royo and consolidates its partnership with Roca Group in an alliance aimed at leading the bathroom furniture market globally, with Royo serving as Roca's competence centre for bathroom furniture.

Santiago Royo, CEO of Invext Corporation, has pointed out that “this operation will allow us to accelerate Invext's strategic plan, focusing on our main investment lines such as real estate, logistics, the capital markets, and investment in private equity and venture capital funds.”.

In this regard, since its creation in 2007, the Royo family's family office has carried out various investment operations in the aforementioned sectors, most notably its contribution as founding partners in the Socimi (listed real estate investment company) Silicius, which will soon be listed on BME Growth.

In the logistics sector, Invext continues to make a strong commitment with investments focused on acquiring land banks when opportunities arise, always with the idea of having a presence in the three main hubs of Valencia: North, South, and Central zones. It is precisely in the North zone, Parc Sagunt I, where a 20,000 m2 logistics platform will be completed in a few months.
