Silvia Royo, a councillor at Invext, hosted and co-starred in a leadership event last week organised in Miami's central Windwood neighbourhood, coinciding with the celebration of eMerge Americas, the city's premier technology event, which attracts venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and international tech innovators. Accompanying her as panellists were Ángela Castelló, Chief Business Development Officer at Streaming, and Ana Carrau, Founder of The Impact Project.
During the event, Silvia Royo shared her experience in the USA, where she has lived with her family for 10 years and where she has consolidated her own bathroom furniture distribution business for Central America, the Caribbean, and the USA. As a director at Invext, Silvia has promoted several impact investment initiatives, such as Microwd, a startup that finances businesses run by women entrepreneurs in Latin America.
The event in which Silvia took part was organised as part of the activities of #ELCLUB The Impact Project, coinciding with the mission of Valencian start-ups to Miami organised by ICEX, IVACE and Startup Valencia. The regional minister accompanied these start-ups during their visit to the city and took part in eMerge Americas, where the Valencian start-ups presented themselves to the innovation and investment community in the US and Latin America. She also took part in other side events organised as part of this gathering, such as the We Invest Latam meeting for women investors.
