As part of our support for initiatives that foster entrepreneurship in our region, last week our CEO, Santiago Royo, and our advisor Raúl Royo, travelled to Israel on a business mission organised by the Foundation LAB Mediterráneo of which we are a part.
The mission aimed to To learn from leading territories in one or more of their areas of actionEntrepreneurship, innovation, technology and research.
And so, for four days, we travelled as part of a delegation made up of about twenty Valencian entrepreneurs, and we had the opportunity to participate in a series of meetings with relevant companies and institutions from the Israeli ecosystem of entrepreneurship and R&D&I, in order to to learn about success stories, share experiences and foster business cooperation.
In this regard, we met with representatives from the Israel Innovation Authority, Cardumen Capital, the Peres Centre for Peace and Innovation, Conexión Israel, the Spanish Embassy in Israel, IBM Alpha Zone Accelerator, the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute, the Weizmann Institute, Mobileye, Ourcrowd, Start-Up Nation Central and Terra Venture Partners, as well as Nobel laureate Roger Kornberg and journalist Henrique Cymerman, among others.
Israel is considered one of the most innovative countries in the world, it is therefore known as the “Start-Up Nation”, and in recent years, it has driven disruptive and transformative technologies.
The LAB Mediterráneo Foundation is an initiative created by the Valencian Business Association (AVE) with the mission of positioning the Valencian Community as a national and European benchmark in entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, and research. From Invext, we are part of the association both on our own behalf and for Royo Group, Invext's main business investment, which has also belonged to AVE for many years.
